English Lessons for Kids and Teens

My first experience as an English teacher in a summer camp near Lucca in Tuscany

Apart from a month in Italian summer camps in 2008, I began teaching English to kids and teens in 2011. My first proper teaching job as a certified ESL teacher took me to a small city in Mexico called Sahuayo. After some travelling around Mexico, I worked in a bilingual primary school, where I was the English and science teacher of third and fourth graders. In 2016, I moved to Spain and worked in English academies, teaching children, teenagers and adults of all ages. I've remained an online ESL teacher since Covid forced me out of the classroom in 2020.

At first, I was hesitant about teaching children online. However, I am continually impressed with how attentive are during an online class. My students make great progress with regular, focused classes and no distractions. They feel proud of their contributions, which keeps them motivated. In a traditional classroom, an individual voice is often lost.

I like to use materials that are interesting, relevant and visually stimulating. Some of my favourites are National Geographic and Oxford Discover because they teach more than just English language; they teach about the world and convey important values.

Teenagers will be engaged by exciting and diverse topics. They will learn everyday English and improve their grammar, vocabulary fluency, reading, writing and listening. Lessons are communication-based, and interactions are natural and friendly.

Whether your teenager is preparing for an exam, needs extra tutoring or plans to study abroad, I have the perfect course for them.

After a free 30-minute informal chat and level assessment, I will suggest the appropriate course. Your child's course is based on their individual needs and objectives.
